Position Overview
We are seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt to support a federal military healthcare client in the Washington, DC area. This role is responsible for leading high-impact Clinical Performance Improvement (CPI) initiatives, applying rigorous Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance healthcare delivery, operational efficiency, and patient outcomes.
The ideal candidate is a certified Black Belt with sustained, hands-on application of improvement methodologies in healthcare environments and demonstrated track record of delivering measurable, mission-aligned results. Travel may be required to Portsmouth VA, San Diego CA, and San Antonio TX.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end Lean Six Sigma initiatives, ensuring alignment with clinical and operational performance objectives.
· Apply DMAIC, Lean, and Clinical Performance Improvement (CPI) methodologies to systematically identify inefficiencies and implement sustainable, measurable process improvements.
· Conduct advanced quantitative analysis, including statistical modeling and performance measurement, to inform decision-making and validate outcomes.
· Facilitate cross-functional teams comprising clinical, administrative, and military stakeholders, fostering collaboration and consensus-driven execution.
· Perform root cause analysis and develop data-driven solutions that address systemic challenges.
· Deliver structured training, coaching, and mentoring to Green Belts and other team members to build organizational capability in continuous improvement methodologies.
· Develop executive-level briefings, reports, and dashboards to communicate project progress, outcomes, and strategic insights to leadership.
· Ensure all improvement activities adhere to federal healthcare quality standards and align with broader organizational objectives.
· Support the execution of contract requirements, ensuring deliverables are met in accordance with performance objectives.
· Produce high-quality briefing slides, metric charts, and progress reviews suitable for presentation to senior stakeholders.
